CBM Pump Screens
ISM − CBM PUMP SCREEN
Extends pump life as much as 9 times
The CBM Pump Screen is manufactured using Stainless Steel punch plate and Stainless Steel screen cloth with 0.009 openings (60 mesh standard) or 0.007 openings (80 mesh standard). The length of this screen is 12˜ to 48˜ with an outside diameter (OD) of 4 ¾˜ and an inside diameter (ID) that fits nearly any brand of pump with a 3 ½˜ ˘ 4˜ OD. These screens can be manufactured to custom sizes upon request. The overall open area of the screen is designed so that it allows 300% more flow than the intake on the standard 4˜ pump.
Our screen also takes no time to install, just slide it up the pump and tighten the set−screws on the intake flange. The urethane end rings provide a near particle tight seal even around the electrical wire. However, each screen comes with an installation kit that includes a tube of silicone to assure a perfect seal and a 1/8˜ allen wrench to secure the set−screws.
No tape or other tools needed.

DJ Special Cooling Shroud
ISM MODEL DJ SPECIAL COOLING SHROUD
The DJ Special is constructed of all Stainless Steel for increased durability. Designed to provide superior filtration of sand and coal fines, our DJ Special allows for motor cooling while protecting the pump from damaging abrasion due to suspended solids in the water.
The screen section is available in lengths of 18˜, 24˜ and 36˜ and is constructed of Stainless Steel punch plate and covered with 80 mesh (.007 openings) Stainless Steel screen cloth. The overall surface area of the screen is designed to allow for 30 times more flow than the intake on the pump.
The cooling capabilities of this shroud help to prevent overheating that can cause high temperature pump damage and loss of efficiency.
Our design allows exceptional motor cooling without any additional equipment.
Our studies have shown an increase of pump life up to 10 times under the same working conditions.

PC Pump Screen
ISM’s PC Pump Screen & Shroud
(Patent Pending)
We have recently designed a screen for PC Pumps (patent pending). The PC Pump Screen has the same protection qualities as our submersible pump screens. The PC Pump Screen comes equipped with a suction relief valve designed by Industrial Screen & Maintenance, Inc that prevents the pump from running dry in the rare event that the screen becomes restricted. Under those conditions the suction will open the valve, allowing water to flow through the pump, preventing it from overheating. This screen also has degassing capabilities that prevents gas locking resulting in high temperature pump damage and loss of pump efficiency.
Another consideration for using our pump screen is to protect related equipment. Even though PC Pumps have the reputation for enduring coal fines and sand, the flow meters, separators and production equipment that follow the pump don’t. PC Pumps will lose some of their efficiency over time, so having our screen will extend their life. Longer pump life results in less down time and higher profits.
We also have many other types of screens and shrouds that are used in the oil and gas fields.
Polyester Screen Cloth
Rod Pump Screen
ISM’s Rod Pump Screens
(Patent Pending)
The RPS-DG Pump Screen with optional Suction Relief Valve.
We have recently designed two screens for Rod Pumps (patent pending) – the standard RPS-S (right) and the de-gassing RPS-DG (left) which have the same protection qualities as our submersible pump screens. The RPS-DG Rod Pump Screens can be equipped with a suction relief valve designed by Industrial Screen & Maintenance that prevents the pump from running dry in the rare event that the screen becomes restricted. Under those conditions the suction will open the valve, allowing water to flow through the pump preventing it from overheating. These screens also have degassing capabilities that prevent gas locking resulting in high temperature pump damage and loss of pump efficiency.
Another consideration for using our pump screens is to protect related equipment. Even though Rod Pumps have the reputation for enduring coal fines and sand, the flow meters, separators, and production equipment that follow the pump don’t. Rod Pumps will, however, also lose some of their efficiency from pumping sand and coal fines over time, so having our screen will extend their life. Longer pump life results in less down time and higher profits.
We also have many other types of screens and shrouds that are used in the gas and oil fields.
Shaker and Hook Screens
ISM HOOK AND SHAKER SCREENS
ISM’s hook screens and shaker screens are typically made with stainless steel market grade woven wire or bolting cloth but can be made with whatever screen fits your needs. Industrial Screen & Maintenance can also supply custom screen or bolting cloth, woven to your specifications. Orders typically ship within 24 hours. A minimal lead time is necessary for custom woven screen and bolting cloth.
When ordering, follow these steps to insure proper fit of hook screen.
1. State which edges are to be prepared with hooks or fitted with hook strips. Specify length of hook strips.
2. Give accurate outside dimension of screen. (See illustration A below.) Measure old screen from outside of one bend to outside of other bend.
3. Be specific about angle and length of hook as shown in illustration B below.
4. When screens are slotted, specify if slots are parallel or perpendicular to hook strips.
5. Specify size and make of vibrator.
When installing, follow these steps to insure screen is not damaged.
1. Be sure there is ample clearance for tensioning on vibrator screens. (See illustration C below.)
2. Vibrator screens need time to seat into place. Install new screen under partial tension without a load and allow it to vibrate for a brief period of time to seat properly. Then tighten fully to proper tension. Loose installation will cause premature breakage.
3. Bucker up or crown bar rubber strips should be checked every time you change screens. Remember – The rubber wears from the bottom on the rails and wear is not always visible.
4. Check the sizes of all pieces being installed. Also check to make sure screens have hook strips parallel. Tension uniformly to maintain screens in parallel.

Stabbing Guides
ISM’s stabbing guides have a toughness unsurpassed by other guides. Made of tough urethane rubber, they take abrasion and hard blows with shock absorbing capabilities – protecting threads from damage during stabbing operations.
Easy handling saves time, reduces operator fatigue and is user friendly.
Possible damage to threads during stabbing could go unobserved in this last operation before final make up.
ISM stabbing guides provide prevention insurance from damage that makes leaky joints very costly in locating and repairing later.
ISM guides are available in the most frequently used sizes. Other sizes can be manufactured when requested.
Suction Disks
We can make them in any size and thickness.
Urethane Lined Pipe & Fittings
Rubber Lined Pipe
We have been using a urethane application to coat the inside of pipe, fittings and unions for the last 20 years. It has been proven to increase the wear life by 10x on most products. It is fairly inexpensive and saves thousands in downtime and replacement costs. If you are interested in discussing the benefits please call the location near you for more information.
